This book cites several clinical indications for embolization. Embolization is a safe and effective therapy for intra visceral bleeding, closure of arterio-venous malformations, non-surgical nephrectomy and splenectomy. It is especially useful in patients with several critical co-morbid medical conditions which preclude radical surgeries. It is organ preserving, with limited complications. In the text, the procedural details are described in each clinical situation. The materials used for the procedure are also be described.
