This book presents research advancesin the field of Continuous Media with Microstructure and considers the threecomplementary pillars of mechanical sciences: theory, research andcomputational simulation.  It focuses on the followingproblems: thermodynamic and mathematical modeling of materials withextensions of classical constitutive laws, single and multicomponent mediaincluding modern multifunctional materials, wave propagation, multiscale andmultiphysics processes, phase transformations, and porous, granular andcomposite materials.
