This is the first major, book-length memoir of a political prisoner from Mexico's "dirty war" of the 1970s. Alberto Ulloa Bornemann was a young idealist when he dedicated himself to clandestine resistance and to assisting Lucio Cabanas, the guerrilla leader of the "Party of the Poor."
