News, Neoliberalism, and Miami's Fragmented Urban Space examines cultural and social forces responsible for inequalities that have emerged in the rampant development of Miami as a ';world city.' This book argues that neoliberal movements rely on the power of journalistic discourses to authorize and legitimize harmful social acts such as gentrification. Moses Shumow and Robert E.
