Pepper, initially called Pepito, was a mixed breeds dog, also known as a mutt, which many people say is the best kind of pet to have. He had a rough time during the first several months of his life, spending much of his puppy time in a dog pound. A man who really had very little time to dedicate to caring for a puppy initially adopted him, and Pepper suffered for it. Due to the overcrowding in pounds and animal shelters, dogs are put down if they are not adopted within a predetermined period, and Pepitos days were numbered. However, he had the good fortune of being selected by a caring and loving family that gave him the type of home he deserved, and renamed him Pepper. This book, Pepper Finds a Home, is the first of a series of childrens books depicting his lifes adventures and comical disasters during his blessed fourteen years. The stories will show how he returned the love and affection he received from his family, and how enjoyably fulfilling it can be to have a pet like Pepper. All of the stories about Pepper are true, taken from actual experiences and happenings. There is no doubt regarding the affection for Pepper felt by the author.
