This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Human Choice and Computers (HCC8), IFIP TC9, held in Pretoria, South Africa on September 25-26, 2008. The IFIP series publishes state-of-the-art results in the sciences and technologies of information and communication.
