Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Vienna has often been described, but never perhaps more faithfully than in Russell's Germany, which, as a book of reference, or as a descriptive history, is as instructive as it is amusing. Having introduced my friends to so good an authority, I leave them to profit by the acquaintance; only remarking, that we regretted that a short stay of ten days did not allow us to avail ourselves of the many enjoyments which the magnificent public establishments of Vienna offer to the traveller.
