Up to the last his faculties were unclouded, and he quietly slumbered away, free from pain or suffering. Mr. Smith was a gentleman remarkably well informed on almost every tepic. His commercial and business qualifications were of a very high order, and his knowledge and advice were always at the service of those who required them.
