Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The fact that a Second Edition of this little Book has been called for within twelve months is a satisfactory proof it has helped to supply a long-felt want. Its aim has been to give in as.simple and concise a form as possible that information which is necessary for all who have charge of the Insane. Chapters on Puerperal Insanity, Hysteria and The Nursing of the Insane in Private Houses have been added to the present Edition. It is hoped that these additional chapters may render the Book more useful to Nurses engaged in private work.
