Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The little boy, whose history is here given, was born and lived far away from the happy homes of those who will read it. I have two reasons for giving you this story. One is, that you may see how the Holy Spirit of God can plant the love of Jesus in the heart of a little child, possessing no uncommon faculties -a child in no way different in body or mind from yourself, or your playmates. Another reason is, that you may learn something of the suffering to which the children of missionaries are exposed in the hot, unhealthy climate of southern and southeastern Asia.
