Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. My father had some old records in his possession which came to him from his father. These were yellow with age and falling to pieces. In another generation they would probably have been lost. In looking these records over the thought came to me: How can these be saved? It was then that the present history was begun, with no hope or prospect of pecuniary reward, but with the desire of preserving to our children the records of their fathers.
