Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Probably not many Archers have read the works of Roberts, 8zc as they are now very scarce, and perhaps much of the matter would be considered rather dry and uninteresting, yet many of the Royal Toxophilites would, the Editor thinks, like to have put together in a small work, the information which has reference to their own Society, hence this publication, in the compiling of which he has had personal gratification, and hopes it may not be an unacceptable gift to his fellow members.
